Kusu - Writer, Artist, Human Being

Kusu / 古玊 (@flyingkusu) (b. 2005) is a Singaporean writer, poet, and artist, currently a university undergraduate majoring in philosophy and psychology. With experience as a theatre actor and director, his work spans poetry, fiction, plays, and genre-bending, experimental pieces. His poems have been published in or are forthcoming in journals such as Words with Weight, The Paper Plane Press, and Ranger Magazine. They have also been featured at the Vitality art exhibition, on Poems on the MRT, and more. Most recently, he was one of the winners of the National Poetry Competition at Poetry Festival Singapore 2026.

Kusu is an editor of Sekudu Quarterly (est. 2025) and the founder of the cultural organisation Singapore Dialects (est. 2019), focused on the preservation of Chinese vernaculars. As a semi-independent researcher, he has produced non-fiction works (released or forthcoming) on epistemology, metaethics, logic and causality, psychology and linguistics, and descriptive bibliography, among others.
